My debut novel Silke and the fall of the Berlin Wall is available from www.amazon.co.uk

The story is set in the region where I grew up - own experiences came handy while writing this book. It is a story about a young woman, Silke Stockhauer, who grew up in the former GDR (East Germany). The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 changed everything for the East Germans. It changed Silke's life too, but differently! Silke was a victim of ... let's say, unfortunate circumstances, that left her as an insane person. However, the story does not lack of black humour and sarcasm.

'Very good first publish!'

'It is a brilliant story based in the late 1980's when the struggle of the east german economy come to the fore front of everybody's day to day life. It's well written and paints a good picture in your mind as you read which immerses you into the journey. It has a lot of tense moments as well as humorous ones. It has also taught me a little about the history of Germany as I myself am not too clued up on it.'
